If you have a contract deliverable for MIL-STD 40051, we have a solution to ensure accurate, compliant, and cost-effective production of technical information in PDF and IADS (Interactive Authoring and Display Software).
How to create, manage, and publish MIL-STD-40051
Traditionally, delivering MIL-STD 40051 information would require you to manually:
configure your XML editor to create data in the correct format for MIL-STD 40051 delivery
share files with collaborators and reviewers to validate and meet contractual requirements
check for engineering updates to ensure that your technical information is up to date
create RPSTL and other 40051 deliverables
Recognizing the costs in time and resource of working in this way, GPSL have developed 40051 for PTC Windchill to streamline and automate the creation, management, and delivery of MIL-STD-40051.
Why 40051 for PTC Windchill is the solution you need
40051 for PTC Windchill enables your authors to create compliant MIL-STD-40051 data in Arbortext for delivery to PDF or IADS.
40051 for PTC Windchill provides:
An import template for LSA036 data to generate Repair Parts and Special Tools Lists (RPSTL). This saves weeks of effort and ensures data integrity between the RPSTL and your LSA solution.
The ability to save your 40051 data directly into PTC Windchill. This provides the added benefits of file versioning, file sharing, and collaboration as well as automated workflows to provide trackable review and validation.
A Digital Thread to connect your engineering data directly to your parts information. This means you can generate parts information and illustrations and be confident that they are always up to date with the latest engineering design changes.
An export package for delivery of your source content to your customer. Enabling you to meet your contractual requirements
